During our outreach in July 2017 we were able to discuss some business ideas with our mothers. Several mothers  were already running some small businesses, like making packaging bags for supermarkets , selling vegetables, fish and food in the market. We found these ideas interesting and we decided to start supporting these mothers so that they can be able to boost their small businesses.

At the beginning of the year we had a list of 17 pregnant women whom we had set out to help. This list had been compiled by two members of our project and they had to go to the slums surrounding Kampala and select the very needy pregnant women. Through the donations from our partners and friends we were able to reach out to these women in the months of April and May 2017.

In December 2016 we were able to buy food for 100 needy families living in Slums. We bought items like rice, spices, salt and cooking oil, which we distributed during the Christmas season.
